Years of thought and research from practicing physicians have gone into creation of Prevention Plus™.  All ingredients are backed by solid clinical information and cost was also a consideration to keep this product affordable for everyday use.

Capsules are the vehicle for delivery as liquids add sugar and exclude the addition of certain important ingredients that do not necessarily “taste good.” Ingredients with sedative or stimulant properties were specifically excluded, such that most anyone would feel comfortable using it. Protecting the liver is essential for reducing risk of disease and milk thistle is the most well-studied of all substances known to offer liver protection. Milk thistle increases bile flow, protects liver cells from the detoxification process and has actually been shown to induce regeneration of liver cells.

A disease prevention supplement would not be complete without adding protection for eyes and skin. Lutein, the yellow pigment found in vegetables, when combined with its isomer, zeaxanthin, protects both the retina of the eyes and skin from the damaging effects of the sun. The protection offered by Prevention Plus™ is rounded out with quercetin, known for antihistamine properties and blood vessel health. Pomegranate was added for positive effects on blood pressure and acai berry for positive effects on cholesterol. Lycopene, the red pigment found in tomato sauce and catsup, has been found to inhibit both breast and prostate cancer cells.

Prevention Plus™ is meant to be taken on an everyday basis for prevention of disease. Gaining this level of protection from diet alone is nearly impossible. Three capsules a day is enough for healthy people, but individuals over fifty or recovering from chronic disease should consider taking three capsules twice daily. The potential for toxicity with these ingredients is quite low and therefore even higher doses can be taken under the direction of a healthcare provider. When combined with an essential fatty acid supplement such as fish oil, regular exercise and a healthy diet, Prevention Plus™ offers a high level of protection from most chronic disease processes.
